On 31 July Leanid Sudalenka, member of the United Civil Party, addressed in writing the head of Khoiniki district electoral commission, asking to conduct a check-up on the facts of gross violations of the electoral law by those who collected signatures for the candidacy of H.Dashkevich, advisor of the head of Homel oblast executive committee.

‘While me and members of my initiative group were collecting signatures in the town of Khoiniki the local dwellers informed us about massive violations of the electoral law of the Republic of Belarus by other initiative groups which were registered in Khoiniki electoral district #47,’ runs the address.

Other initiative groups collect signatures for Heorhi Dashkevich and Aleh Kazlou. The local democratic activists believe that Mr. Kazlou, foreman of the local communications center, is a ‘fake’ candidate: the local authorities need him to make semblance of struggle for the deputy seat with the main official candidate Dashkevich, advisor of the head of Homel oblast executive committee. By the way, Khoiniki district electoral commission #47 is headed by Viktar Vaskevich, head of the work and employment department of Khoiniki district executive committee.

‘In particular, almost every third of 1 000 electors who signed for me, stated that they had already signed for other candidates to deputies, and that they did it at work, in the working time. At the same time, the unknown persons who collected these signatures try to deceive the electors, saying that they could not sign in support of other candidates after it,’ wrote L.Sudalenka in his address.
