Luninets: Public Activist Vital Karatysh Is Made to Resign for Participation in Electoral Campaign of Aliaksandr Milinkevich

Viktar Karatysh used to be the director of the Palace of Culture in Luninets. Several times the reports for absence at the working place were composed against him. Recently Mr Karatysh has been summonsed to the chair of the culture department of Luninets District Executive Committee, who forced him to write the application or resigning on his own free will for the fear to be dismissed for absenteeism. According to Mr Karatysh, he was also told his political seat of the chair of Milinkevich’s headquarters in Luninets district was incompatible with state work. According to the public activist, his political activity was related to execution of his duties outside his office room. Vital Karatysh put it in his explanation to the chair of the culture department. However, this argument didn’t impress the latter. Finally, Mr Karatysh had to write the application for resigning on his own will on the condition a specialist he recommended would be employed instead.
