In November, 2005 on TV channel ONT the was the two-part documentary film from a serial " Without a limitation period " " The Roma camp is going to prison ". Film comprises huge quantity of the negative information on representatives of Roma people. The impression is made, that citizen Chamkovsky (the author of film) has set for itself a problem to collect all negative information on representatives of Roma people and has presented it for general viewing. In the beginning of film it is spoken, that the journalist does not put before itself the purpose to discredit all Roma community as a whole, but this film leads to exclusively above-stated result. This film say that all Roma people in Belarus are criminal, that all Roma children selling drugs from childhood. Author of this film ask all citizens of Republic Belarus that all Roma people are enemies of law. Its not truth. We, Roma lawyers, disagree with this opinion. It is necessary to notice, that with his task Chamkovsky not only has successful , but also has exceeded it on 100%. Such this film we, Roma people, yet did not see. Chamkovsky has collected all negative information about Roma people which only could be found. Film of journalist Chamkovsky contains all attributes of discrimination on Roma people.
Who thinks not as the authority demands - risks to receive invitation from Office of Public Prosecutor. Roma peoples also have the right to take part in a political life of the country and we shall do it, not looking on enormous pressure, we, national diasporas, will support further democracy in Belarus.
