Belarusian Political Refugees in Brussels Struggle for Liberation of Belarusian Prisoners of Conscience

On 8 November in the center of Brussels there started the hunger-strike of Belarusian political prisoners with the aim to get Mikalai Autukhovich and Belarusian political prisoners liberated and get the officials of the European Union establish the authoritative international commission on independent investigation of the kidnap of Belarusian politicians.

Three Belarusian political refugees who live in Benelux countries started their action in Shuman Square, where the headquarters of the leading European structures including the Council of Europe and the European Commission are situated. They state they will keep on hungering till they feel bad. Members of Belarusian European Association participate in the action as observers. The leader of this organization Dzmitry Pimienau explained:
-- We warned the police that there will take place a hunger-strike in Shuman Square. We will stay here if nobody fences us off.
