Court decided the Narodnaya Volya should pay 5 thousand USD to Yahor Rybakow, holding information the newspaper published in October 2001 invalid.
On 26 September Leninski borough court of Minsk invalidated information, published in Maryna Koktysh’s article “Eleanora Yazerskaya: Five Pounds of Love”, reports RFE/RL. In the article Eleanora Yazerskaya stated that Yahor Rybakow “ruined Belarusian TV”, and accused him of connection to death of several ex-employees.

Judge Siarhei Khrypach ruled to enforce compensation of 10 million rubles (about 5 thousand dollars) from the newspaper, and 1 million rubles from Maryna Koktysh and Eleanora Yazerskaya. During the next 10 days the newspaper also should refute the information and publish apologies of Maryna Koktysh and Eleanora Yazerskaya.
