Mikhail Padhayny, Minister of Information, suspended issue of the newspaper Viacherni Stolin for 3 months for “rule Law violations”. According to the official version, these violations were manifested through changes in the newspaper topics from the industrial to mass political ones without the timely appropriate amendments in the newspaper’s registration certificate.

Besides, the reason for the issue suspension were two publications: the article “As a Sign of Protest” that, according to the official document, “foments social enmity and attempts on honor and dignity of citizens” and “There’s no Mob in Stolin Region, but Vertical”, where some materials of an investigated case was used without the permission of the investigators.

BelaPAN informs that Uladzimir Pashkevich, Chairman of Stolin District Executive Committee, filed a suit against the newspaper to protect his honor and dignity. He demanded to disprove the information, published in the articles and pay to him 4 million rubles as a compensation of the moral harm done.
