02.06.2011 Political prisoner Dzmitry Novik is pressurized in Shklou penal colony
Dzmitry Novik was sentenced to 42 months in a high-security penal colony for participation in the protest rally against the rigging of the presidential elections on 19 December in Minsk. In his recent telephone conversation with his mother the prisoner said that he was being provoked in prison. He said that soon there could be declared an amnesty, that's why the possible reason for the provocations could be that the prison administration wants to leave him in jail, or even give him another sentence.

16.05.2011 Analytical review of the court proceedings on the criminal case of Daronin, Fedarkevich, Kazakou, Loban, Matsukevich and Sakret
The trial of the criminal case against Daronin, Fedarkevich, Kazakou, Matsukevich and Sakret took place on 5-11 March at the Maskouski District Court of Minsk. The case was tried by Judge Alena Shylko with participation of the state accuser Melnikau, Deputy Prosecutor of the Maskouski District of Minsk. The defendants were charged under Article 293, part 2 of the Criminal Code (direct participation in mass riot). On 12 May the court found them guilty under Article 293, part 2.

The Belarusian presidential candidate was sentenced for his protest against the falsified elections. The judgement was delivered by judge Natallia Chatsviartkova. Prosecutor Anton Zaharouski demanded to give Andrei Sannikau 7 years in a medium security penal colony.

The criminal cases against some of the accused of the “mass riot” have been passed to the Leninski District Court of Minsk and will be considered soon. According to Interfax, the Minsk City Procuracy has passed to court the criminal cases against Iryna Khalip (wife of Belarusian presidential candidate Andrei Sannikau) Siarhei Martsaleu (head of the electoral team of the presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich), the presidential candidate Vital Rymasheuski and the head of his electoral team Pavel Seviarynets.

07.04.2011 KGB searches apartment of Natallia Radzina’s parents
Local KGB officers and an investigator from Minsk visited Natallia Radzina’s parents at home in Kobryn. They searched the house and seized the journalist’s notebooks, letters of solidarity from around the world, including the ones she got from the former Czech president Vaclav Havel and the Foreign Minister of Slovakia, Mikuláš Dzurinda. They also seized a computer of Natallia Radzina’s minor nephew.

Accoridng to his son, Artsiom, on 6 April evening the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka was released from the KGB pre-trial prison on a written recognizance not to leave. He spent almost three months in jail. Now he is taking part in the meeting of the UCP National Committee.
