Zmitser Salauyou, the Chairperson of the Mahiliou Region organization of the Belarusian Popular Front, lodged a complaint with the regional procuracy concerning the actions of KGB officers during the search at his apartment on 15 January.
10.02.2011 KGB officers pay interests to duty documents of lawyer Aleh Aheyeu
At about 11 a.m. on 10 February KGB officers paid a visit to the legal consultation of Aleh Aheyeu, the attorney of the presidential candidate Aliaksei Mikhalevich. they presented an order signed by the Minsk and Minsk Region KGB Department and started looking though the documents that concerned the professional activities of the lawyer. They refused to tell the lawyer within the limits of which process activities the check-up of his documents was conducted and soon went away.

07.02.2011 New searches and interrogations
Liubou Kameneva, an activist of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, was interrogated at KGB on 5 February. She came to the KGB department at 10 a.m. together with her attorney. However, KGB officers refused to admit the attorney to the interrogation and threatened they would treat it as a ‘refusal to give testimony’.
04.02.2011 Criminal case on mass riot: 42 accused and 12 suspects (updated on 4 February)
Human rights defenders monitor the criminal cases that were instigated in connection with the action of protest connected with the presidential election. As of 4 February, the Human Rights Center Viasna knows the surnames of 42 accused in the criminal case on mass riot (33 of them are kept in custody, 2 persons are under house arrest and 7 more have been released on recognizance not to leave. 12 more are suspects in the case – 1 of them is in custody, 9 have undertaken not to leave the country and 2 are abroad.
04.02.2011 Four more accused in mass riot case
Four more participants of the 19 December protest rally – Ales Kirkevich, Zmitser Drozd, Siarhei Kazakou and Uladzimir Yaromenak – have been officially charged under Par 1. and Par. 2 Art. 293 of the Criminal Code (“participation in mass riots”).

BCD members, Vital Rymasheuski’s representatives Iryna Lohvin and Lyubou Kameneva are being looked for by the law enforcement agencies. They want to interrogate them.
03.02.2011 Searches and interrogations non-stop
KGB officers of Salihorsk have interrogated Uladzimir Lemesh, an electioneering agent of Andrei Sannikau. The interrogation lasted for about 4 hours. Lemesh could not speak about the details as he signed the non-dislosure obligation.
02.02.2011 More searches and interrogations in Belarus
On 2 February two KGB officers searched the apartment of opposition activist Tamara Zaitsava. In the search warrant it was stated that she was a witness in the criminal case concerning the ‘mass riot’ of 19 December. The activist wasn’t present in Nezalezhnastsi Square that day, because she observed the presidential election at an election precinct in Kalinkavichy, but this didn’t stop the KGB officers.

Tatsiana Seviarynets, the mother of a KGB prisoner Pavel Seviarynets, has to file complains against actions of workers of the investigative isolator of the KGB and against actions of officers of the procuracy in order to get answers to her concrete questions.
01.02.2011 Searches and interrogations continue
At 12 a.m. on 31 January KGB officers paid a visit to an activist of the Student Council (Studrada) Ales Krot. Only his sister was at home at the time. They confiscated a computer, 14 CDs, 2 flash cards and 4 diskettes. Short before this the KGB also searched the apartments of two other activists of Student Council, Mikhas Matskevich and Mikhas Matusevich.
01.02.2011 Dashkevich is 'proposed' to testify against other Young Front activists
In one of his last letters to Nasta Loika Zmitser Dashkevich wrote about receiving such a proposal during his second interrogation concerning the events of 19 December for the time of his stay at the investigative isolator of the Zhodzina prison. The activist also complains that the guards refused to allow passing him a Bible in the Belarusian language and that he faced obstacles to sending letters.

The lawyer of a former presidential candidate Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu met his client on the evening of January 30. Tamara Sidarenka has informed “Solidarity” that she read the order to change his measure of restraint and discussed some issues connected with his defense.
31.01.2011 Vaznyak describes conditions in KGB jail as 'very harsh'
Siarhei Vaznyak, editor-in-chief of Tavarysh (Comrad) newspaper and a member of Central Committee of Belarusian Leftist Party "Fair World", has described as 'very harsh' the conditions in the KGB pre-trial detention center. Vaznyak was a campaign worker for candidate Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu during the 2010 presidential campaign.
