The trial of the administrative case of a member of the Belarusian Popular Front and the For Freedom movement Ales Ramanovich was postponed to 10 a.m. on 10 August. Brest Regional Court refused to consider an appeal against poor detention conditions at Brest pre-trial prison lodged by a ‘For Freedom’ activist Ivan Stasiuk, claiming that the regulation of prison conditions is within the authority of the Interior Ministry and cannot be questioned by courts, Aliaksandr Milinkevich’s press-service reports.

10.06.2010 First court hearing on liquidation of ‘Tell Truth’

On 9 June, Ales Ramanovich, Pinsk activist of the Belarusian Popular Front Party and the movement For Freedom, was interrogated for about 1.5 hours by a police inspector Andrei Rusin. The KGB officer, who watched the activist during the last several days, was present at the interrogation as well.
28.05.2010 Supreme Court upholds registration denial to Belarusian branch of international human rights group
The Supreme Court of Belarus has dismissed an appeal filed by founders of a Belarusian branch of the Ukrainian-based International Helsinki Association for Human Rights against the denial of registration by the justice ministry.
The Court pronounced the judgment on May 26.
