The election commissions of Minsk constituency No. 91 has denied registration to Mrs. Volha Kavalkova, activist of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, after her income tax declaration was found invalid, the BCD’s press-service reports.
Meanwhile, the election commission has already had ballots printed, which is a violation of Art. 72 of the Electoral Code that prohibits the issuance of ballots before the candidates are officially registered.
Mrs. Volha Kavalkova says she is going to appeal the denial.
