Police officers got into the house of the co-chairman of the civil campaign “For Fair Elections” Viktar Karniayenka in Fanipol. The reasons aren't known so far. Today Mr. Karniayenka is flying to Vienna, to take part in an OSCE event which will be also attended by the head of the Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna.

At present the policemen are holding either a search or an examination of the house, looking for illegal printed production. As far as Mr. Karniayenka is not a figurant of any criminal case, human rights defenders regard such behavior of the police as an attempt to prevent the democratic activist from taking part in the OSCE event.
