Evening of solidarity with imprisoned Viasna human rights activists to be held in Prague
On the next anniversary of the disgraceful sentence of famous human rights defenders Ales Bialiatski, Valiantsin Stefanovich, and Uladzimir Labkovich, a solidarity event will be held in Prague on March 3: the opening of the art installation Unbreakable and a discussion dedicated to the activities of the Viasna human rights center and the human rights situation in Belarus.
It was this day, March 3, 2023, two years ago, FIDH Vice-President Valiantsin Stefanovich, coordinator of the Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections campaign Uladzimir Labkovich, and founder of Viasna, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Ales Bialiatski were sentenced to long prison terms for their public and legitimate work in helping people.
To express support to those who suffered for the defense of freedom and justice in Belarus, Viasna, together with the Czech organization People in Need, is organizing a solidarity event in Prague.
The event will take place on Monday, March 3, at Langhan Café, 37, Vodičkova 707/37, Nové Město, Praha. It starts at 18:00. Join us!
