November 9, 2023, at least 10 people were detained in Baranavičy. Among them was Baranavičy human rights defender Aliaksandr Vaitseshyk.

The verdict of the human rights defender became known to Brest Viasna. For "spreading extremist materials" he was punished with arrest for 15 days. This decision was made by judge Iryna Paulouskaya on November 10, 2023.
It also became known that Vaitseshyk was detained by force at the entrance of his house. During the search, his laptop and his phone were taken away. According to the court's decision, these technical devices were confiscated.
