Aliaksandr Kruty, the father of a victim of the 11 April blast in the Minsk metro, actively participated in the trial of the alleged perpetrators of the terrorist act, Dzmitry Kanavalau and Uladzislau Kavaliou, the both of whom were sentenced to death and are waiting to be executed.
Minsk citizen Aliaksandr Kruty, who is kept in the pre-trial prison in Valadarski Street, awaiting the direction for forced psychiatric treatment, imposed by a court verdict, sent a letter to the Homel-based activist of the coalition “Our Alternative” Kanstantsin Zhukouski.

The trial of the father of Inesa Krutaya, a victim of the 11 April blast in the Minsk metro, was closed. There were only a prosecutor, a judge, a secretary, Aliaksandr's lawyer and the victim – doctor Valiantsina Chupik. It was her who insisted on the closed regime.
Aliaksandr Krutoi represented the interests of his daughter, Inesa Krutaya, a victim of the terrorist act of 11 April, at the trial of the alleged terrorists. He was quite active there, and made a number of motions, including the postponement of the trial and the abolishment of the death penalty in Belarus.
On July 4 the Leninski District court of Minsk sentenced Andrei Kasheuski, amember of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, to 10 days of arrest.. He was detained on 1 July for distributing leaflets and was kept at the Leninski District Police Department for 3 days. His mother was informed about it only on the fourth day of the detention.
One of the most known activists of the Salihorsk branch of the campaign team of Uladzimir Niakliayeu, member of the Young Front Andrei Tychyna was detained at a street action on 7 November and guarded to the Salihorsk Military Enlistment Office, where he was issued a writ for medical examination.
The 50-year-old resident of the town of Navalukoml who intended to collect signatures for the nomination of Uladzimir Niakliayeu and Mikalai Statkeivich as candidates for President of the Republic of Belarus has been released from the Lepel psychiatric asylum after spending 15 days there.
The Hanchar family of the town of Krasnapolle, Mahiliou region, has called upon Belarusian human rights activists and independent journalists to help protect their under-age daughter from psychiatry abuse, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports. The Hanchars claim that their daughter Liudmila is about to be hospitalized by order of local police. According to Liudmila’s elder sister Volha, two policemen accompanied by a psychiatrist paid a visit to the family’s apartment to hospitalize the girl, claiming that she needed immediate medical intervention due to ‘severe mental disorder’, cause by a school incident a year ago, when the girl was badly beaten by her classmates.
On 11 December 15-year-old schoolboy Maxim Andreyeu was placed to the closed department of Vitsebsk oblast psychiatric hospital athwart his will and without parents’ agreement. On 12 December he was proposed sign in the anamnesis (allegedly that he is already 15 years old). As it was found later, he signed under ‘agreement to placement in the psychiatric hospital).
