Judge of the Tsentralny District Court of Minsk Alena Siamak refused to consider the lawsuit of Anatol Liabedzka against KGB. Since April 2011, the politician has been trying to get back the notebook and money which had been confiscated from him during a search.

The leader of the United Civil Party paid 350,000 rubles of fine on the judgement of the court of Orsha, but he is still considered a debtor.

About $10,000 seized from Anatol Liabedzka during the search in December 2010, have not been returned to the owner so far.

The administration of the KGB prison, where Mr. Liabedzka was kept, refused to return him his notebooks, money and the cross he wore on his neck. The official reason is that Liabedzka cannot show his passport (which was allegedly attached to his case).

On return to Minsk the UCP leader found himself almost “in a hardboiled action film”.

The leader of the United Civil Party and former political prisoner Anatol Liabedzka was detained in the Moscow airport Domodedovo on his way to Washington. He managed to inform the Russian politician Leonid Gozman about it.

The politician received a notification about it in the morning. It was signed by the senior investigator of Minsk City Department of the Interior.
