08.11.2011 Criminal case against three BPF members reopened

The criminal case against three members of the Belarusian Popular Front, Maksim Hubarevich, Ales Kalita and Siarhei Semianiuk, suspected in hooliganism (Article 339 of the Criminal Code) has been reopened. It was stated by Siarhei Semianiuk to BelaPAN.

15.09.2011 Sudden change of investigator in criminal case against BPF activsits

The activists of the Belarusian Popular Front Maksim Hubarevich, Ales Kalita and Siarzhuk Semianiuk who are suspected within the framework of a criminal case concerning “hooliganism, committed by a group of persons”, found about it after receiving a telephone call from investigator Patapava, who wanted to inform them about the upcoming confrontation with a witness. According to the law, the youngsters were to have been acquainted with the ruling about the appointment of a new investigator.

Maksim Hubarevich, Deputy Chair of the Hrodna city organization of the Belarusian Popular Front, is summonsed to another confrontation in Minsk, the third since the beginning of the investigation into the incident that had taken place near the new office of the BPF in Minsk on 13 August.

06.09.2011 Search at Ales Kalita's apartment

On 5 September the apartment rented by a member of the Belarusian Popular Front Party was searched by the police. This information was voiced by Aliaksei Yanukevich, BPF Chair. Earlier Ales Kalita had been interrogated within the framework of the criminal case instigated against him and two other BPF members, Maksim Hubarevich and Siarhei Semianiuk, for beating a guard.
