In the beginning of December 2010 a Homel human rights defender Anatol Paplauny caught in action several activists of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) who were handing out agitation materials of Aliaksandr Lukashenka without imprint.
The independent electronic media published information that the ideological department of the Homel Region Executive Committee sent to the editorial boards of the local state-owned newspapers a letter with the proposal to hold a poll among the local dwellers concerning the upcoming election. The letter offered the newspapers not only questions, but also ideologically correct answers to them.
On September 22nd candidate in Buda-Kashaliouskaya district # 38 Kanstantsin Zhukouski withdrew his candidacy. He has already submitted the appropriate statement to the district election commission.
Kanstantsin Zhukouski ran as a candidate on the UDF list.
