On August 9, 2013, Salihorsk activist of the United Civil Party Viktar Malochka sent to the House of Representatives an address to the deputies from Salihorsk constituencies, Yauhen Abalenski and Taisia Danilevich. The petitions were received on August 12, as evidenced by signatures on the message of mail delivery. Despite the period of one month allocated by the law for processing petitions, Viktar Malochka has not yet received a response from the deputies.

Homel opposition activist Uladzimir Katsora filed today a statement to the Regional Prosecutor’s Office and head of the internal affairs department of Homel regional executive committee to report on a criminal offense allegedly committed by police officers. In his statement, the politician says that on September 22 traffic police stopped a private minibus with delegates of a national conference for the creation of a coalition "For Honest and Fair Elections for the Sake of a Better Life."

The court of Biaroza district considered yesterday a joint complaint by human rights defenders Siarhei Rusetski and Tamara Shchapiotkina, as well as civil society activist Tatsiana Tarasevich. They asked the court to reverse a ban imposed by the district executive committee on a demonstration of solidarity with political prisoners scheduled for August 4, as well as to recognize a violation of terms of replying (instead of July 30, as required by law, the reply was sent to the applicants on August 2).

30.08.2013 Tell the Truth Homel coordinator urges prosecutors to punish police officers who detained him
Homel coordinator of the civil campaign "Tell the Truth" Valery Sliapukhin sent a complaint to the Prosecutor of Kastrychnistki district of Minsk on his detention that took place on August 24, when the police raided the campaign’s central office and arrested some 30 people, including a number of regional activists. The detainees were taken to the police department, and then released without charges.
