15.09.2010 Navahradak: trial for distribution of ‘Prauda Niakliayeva’
On 15 September Vasil Aliakhnovich, Chief Judge of the Navahradak District Court, sentenced the activists of the Speak Truth campaign Ivan Dziashuk and Natallia Katsmayer to pay 700,000 rubles for distributing the unregistered edition Prauda Niakliayeva two weeks ago.
15.09.2010 Andrei Tychyna gets fined for distribution of newspapers
The democratic activist from Salihorsk Andrei Tychyna was fined 1,225,000 rubles (about $) for handing out the newspapers My i Rynak and Hazeta Niakliayeva with the logo of the Speak Truth campaign at the Salihorsk town market on 31 August.
15.09.2010 Supreme Economical Court turned down ’Nasha Niva’ lawsuit
The chief editor of Nasha Niva Andrei Skurko, an expert linguist- candidate of philological sciences Nadzeya Shakun and witnesses – the readers of the newspaper who did not manage to buy the issue in the newsstand, appeared in the Supreme Economical Court, at the trial Nasha Niva vs. the Ministry of Information. Predictably enough, the court turned down the lawsuit of the newspaper and left the warnings of the ministry in force.

Judge Uladzislau Shykarou fined Taras Surhan 210,000 rubles for violation of the regime of preventive supervision which manifested in coming home 17 minutes later after the specified time.
07.09.2010 ’Movement Forward’ is deprived of registration
On 6 September the research and educational establishment Movement Forward lodged a lawsuit with the Supreme Economical Court asking to reverse the verdict of the cassation instance of the Minsk City Economical Court of 25 August that had left standing the verdict of the court of 29 July 2010 #608-19/10.
02.09.2010 Ivan Kruk’s case considered at Hrodna Region Court
The Hrodna Region Court reversed the ruling of a lower court according to which Mr. Kruk was to be fined 1,050,000 rubles (about $348) for defamation of a state official. The case was returned for reconsideration.

Ales Kirkevich, deputy chair of Young Front Hrodna office, has been fined BYR 875,000 for distributing printed materials as part of the City is Ours campaign. He was detained on 3 July and charged under Paragraph 2 of Article 21.14 of the Civil Code.

25.08.2010 Vitsebsk court acquits For Freedom activist Zheliapau
Vitsebsk Chyhunachny Court acquitted Khrystafor Zheliapau, activist of the For Freedom movement, previously charged with alleged illegal distribution of opposition periodicals, Aliaksandr Milinkevich’s press-service reports.
24.08.2010 BYR 700,000 fine for street drawing
On 24 August Salihorsk Town Court fined two Young Front activists Andrus Tychyna and Ryhor Astapenia BYR 700,000 each for arranging a street drawing contest marking the 20th anniversary of the proclamation of Belarus’ independence back on 27 July, European Radio for Belarus reports, quoting a Young Front activist Aliaksei Valabuyeu.
20.08.2010 Homel activists charged with arbitrariness
On 18 August, Vasil Paliakou, chair of UCP Homel regional office, was officially charged with arbitrariness during the 26 July rally marking the 20th anniversary of Belarusian independence. The police say other participants of the event will be prosecuted under civil procedures.

On 16 August, Pinsk Town Court fined Ales Ramanovch, BPF member and activist of the For Freedom opposition movement, BYR 1,050,000 for alleged production and distribution of printed materials, Radio Racyja reports.
13.08.2010 Havary Praudu activist Pashkevich fined BYR 1,400,000
Minsk Maskouski Court fined Mikail Pashkevich, activist of the ‘Havary Praudu’ civil campaign, BYR 1,400,000 for staging an unauthorized rally on the International Youth Day, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
11.08.2010 Opposition activist Kavalenka fined BYR 770,000
Siarhei Kavalenka, Vitsebsk activist of the BPF Conservative-Christian Party, has been fined BYR 770,000 for insulting policemen during his arrest back in July 2010, Radio Racyja reports.
