06.11.2013 Citizens, detained near the detention facility in Akrestsin Street, released in three hours
On 6 November the police arrested nine people who came to the center for the isolation of offenders in Akrestsin Street to meet the Homel resident Yury Rubtsou, detained after the end of the “Dziady” rally in Minsk and sentenced to 3 days of arrest for the alleged “insubordination to the police”.
05.11.2013 Hrodna: court “wall” seems impenetrable
Hrodna Regional Court considered the appeal of the human rights defenders Viktar Sazonau, Uladzimir Khilmanovich and Raman Yurhel against the verdict of the Leninski District Court of Hrodna concerning the refusal of the Hrodna City Executive Committee to hold a picket in support of Ales Bialiatski on 4 August. On 23 September the Leninski District Court Judge Zhana Krauchanka, ignoring clear violations on the part of the authorities, ruled that the city executive committee didn't violate the law by its ban on the mass event. The human rights activists disagree with this verdict and seek the justice.
05.11.2013 Homel resident appeals the prohibition of a picket in support of Ales Bialiatski
A resident of Homel Eduard Neliubovich filed to the Tsentralny District Court an appeal against the actions of the Homel City Executive Committee who prohibited him to hold a rally in support of political prisoner Ales Bialiatski. The activist wanted to hold the mass event on 10 November in order to inform the public about the nomination of Ales Bialiatski for Nobel Peace Prize in 2013. The executive committee didn't authorize the picket.

On October 29, Judge Alena Volkava of Leninski District Court of Mahiliou fined the chairman of the Mahiliou regional coalition of democratic forces Yury Novikau 5,850,000 rubles for distributing leaflets and collecting signatures against a Russian airbase in the territory of Belarus.
24.10.2013 More preventive detentions and trials ahead of CIS summit
Activist of the EuroBelarus movement from Dziarzhynsk, Aliaksandr Tarnahurski, was summoned for interrogation at 10 this morning. The police also detained an activist of the National Bolshevik movement Dzmitry Paliyenka. Later it became known that he was charged with disorderly conduct. As a result, the activist stood trial and was sentenced to six days of arrest.
24.10.2013 National Bolsehvik leader sentenced to short prison term
Yauhen Kontush, leader of the Belarusian National Bolsheviks movement, was detained by the police when leaving his house at around 9 last morning. The reason for the detention is still unknown. Another activist of the movement, Dzmitry Paliyenka was detained last evening and taken to the police station. It was also known that the police "hunted" Aliaksandr Paliakou, but he managed to escape arrest.
22.10.2013 Minsk district court orders reinvestigation of charges against National Bolshevik activists
On October 21, the Court of Minsk district and the town of Zaslauye, having considered the complaint of several activists of the Belarusian National Bolshevik movement, quashed the decisions made by the head of Zhdanovichy police station and forwarded their administrative charges for reinvestigation. The fines imposed under the decisions ranged from 100 to 800 thousand rubles.

08.10.2013 Court finds UCP activist Dzianis Rabianok guilty by refrains from punishment
On 7 October the trial of the activist of the United Civil Party Dzianis Rabianok came to an end in the town of Kalinkavichy. According to the court ruling, Mr. Rabianok was found guilty of violating article 9.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. Nevertheless, the administrative proceedings against him were dropped due to the expiry of the legal terms of bringing to administrative responsibility.
