11.11.2008 Minsk: ‘Young Front’ activist is detained for action near Leninski district court
On 10 November at 10 p.m. the police detained the activist of the Young Front Mikalai Dzemidzenka who had taken part in the action in support to the young oppositionists who had been tried at Leninski district court for holding an anticommunist picket near the KGB office on 7 November.
10.11.2008 Polatsk: youth activists to stand trial for anti-communist action
Reports were drawn up against Polatsk youth activists for they unfurled a national white-red-white flag and an orange flag of the initiative Young Belarus in the city center.
08.10.2008 Franak Viachorka is forcibly put in military hospital
The youth leader Franak Viachorka came to the military hospital to a consultation that had been appointed by the military enlistment committee. When he entered the doctor’s office, his belongings were taken away. Franak was dressed in military uniform and was put in the traumatological department for medical examination.
29.09.2008 Activists persecuted after rally on September 28
Late evening, after the rally on Kastrychnitskaya Square, the police detained several protesters. Andrei Zubarau, Heorhi Paulenka, and Siarhei Piatrouski are among the detained. We are trying to find out the names of the other detained activists. Several rally participants, Franak Viachorka among them, were severely beaten by strangers at the crossing of Bahdanovicha and Niakrasava streets.

On September 28 right after the protest rally against rigged election results, four active participants of the rally were beaten up. One of the leaders of the BPF Youth (The Belarusian Popular Front youth branch) Franak Viachorka was among them.

As we have already informed, the administration of Mahiliou State University planned to expel the student after giving him an unsatisfactory mark at his English exam. The information proved to be true: Rastsislau Pankratau was expelled.

The coordinator of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party Tatsiana Shambalava and a leader of Mahiliou organization of the Young Front Rastsislau Pankratau are expelled from Mahiliou State University.

08.08.2008 Pavel Kuryianovich sentenced to 15 days of jail. Imprisoned Dashkevich and Finkevich go on hunger-strike
The leaders of the Young Front Zmitser Dashkevich and Arthur Finkevich, arrested in Minsk yesterday, announced a hunger strike in Akrestsin Street detention centre. The activist of the civil campaign European Belarus Pavel Kuryianovich stood trial at the court of Maskouski district of Minsk and was sentenced to 15 days of jail for ‘petty hooliganism’.
08.08.2008 Police and KGB burst into ‘Young Front’ office
On 7 August in the evening riot policemen and KGB officers broke into the head office of the Young Front in Karal Street in Minsk. Two entrance doors were broken. The leaders of the organization Zmitser Dashkevich and Arthur Finkevich, as well as 4 activists of the Young Front and an activist of the civil campaign European Belarus Pavel Kuryianovich were arrested.
