A court in Baku has sentenced Anar Mammadli, chairman of EMDS (Election Monitoring and Democracy Studies Center) to 5.5 years of imprisonment. His deputy Bashir Suleymanli was sentenced to 3.5 years and arrested in the courtroom. The head of the Public Association for International Cooperation of Volunteers Elnur Mammadov was given the same term with 2 years on probation.

As it became known to human rights defenders, the border guards advised Uggla to buy a return ticket for today or to wait in a transit zone until Sunday as he already has a return ticket for that date.
