All signatures were sent to the Mahiliou district, city and regional councils of deputies, as well as to members of the parliament from Mahiliou: Edvard Siankevich, Uladzimir Vasilenka, Ihar Stankevich and Ales Razganau.
Today, on May 31, was the last day of the trial initiated by the Belarusian Social Democratic Party and its member Mikalai Zalozny, in particular. After four hearings, Leninski District Court of Mahiliou in the name of Judge Andrei Yurchanka said he could not identify the author of the slander of one of the oldest Belarusian political parties.
The Court of Mahiliou Leninski district opened today the hearing of a lawsuit brought by the city’s office of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party against Pavel Shyshou, head of the dormitory service of the “Mahiliouablselbud” state-run enterprise.
The May Day rally in Brest was permitted by the authorities for the first time since 2002. On the eve of the event the representatives of the democratic forces who organized the event concluded service agreements with the police, medics and public utilities, which is required for the authorization of mass events.
The campaign was launched by the activists of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) who think that the adoption of the new law will contribute to the ordering of the existing juridical terminology, will make it possible to use the law in all spheres which concern the rights of common people and prevent tensions during clashes between the interests of the state and its citizens.
The court turned down the appeals of the Vitsebsk council of the Belarusian Popular Front and the regional committee of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) demanding to turn down the ruling of the Haradok District Executive Committee concerning the establishment of PECs.
Pavel Shyshou, the head of a number of hostels including hostel in Tsimirazeu Street 11, required explanations from his subordinate, an activist of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) after learning that he was a member of the electoral team of prospective candidate Leanid Padbiaretski, and prohibited him to collect signatures in the hostel.
The head of the Biaroza district branch of the United Civil Party Aliaksandr Kabanau intends to run for the Parliament at the Pruzhany electoral constituency #9. A member of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party “Hramada” and the civil campaign “Tell the Truth!” Valiantsin Lazarenkau and a member of the United Civil Party Viktoryia Hryniuk will run at Ivatsevichy electoral constituency #11.
The candidate for the Vitsebsk regional Council of Deputies Iryna Akulionak, activist of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party Narodnaya Hramada, has to defend the electoral rights of citizens of the Budaunichaya constituency #58 where she is running. The matter is that dwellers of Bileva, a new suburb of Vitsebsk, had been assigned to the precinct that is located in secondary school #12 that is situated more than three kilometers away from the suburb. It means that many people will have to get to the precinct by public transport, sometimes even with changes.
