Aliaksei Paulouski, a former election observer at polling station #53 of the Mahiliou-Central election constituency #85, submitted an appropriate letter to the National Academy of Sciences. The reason for the address was the data of the election at his polling station which made him doubt in the theory of probability.

Dzianis Sadouski, an executive secretary of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, was among coordinators of the election boycott campaign in Minsk. He was detained on 28 August when he was pasting boycott posters calling. The Frunzenski District Court of Minsk sentenced him to 10 days in custody.

The prison administration said the political prisoner had no right to have warm clothes. Aliaksandr Dziadok, the father of political prisoner Mikalai Ddziadok, told charter97.org that his son, who already lost the right to receive parcels, make phone calls and see his relatives, was deprived of warm clothes. He also cannot receive medicines. The political prisoner is kept in isolation and cannot meet with his lawyer. Mail is not delivered from him.

04.10.2012 Mahiliou: election commission turns down another appeal against turnover overstatement
The Mahiliou-Central constituency election commission #85 turned down an appeal of a former candidate for the Parliament, activist of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) Anastasiya Voitava, who argued that the observers' assessments of the turnout didn't match with that announced by the commission and therefore asked to recognize the election at the constituency as invalid.

The political prisoner does not receive letters. Autukhovich's Afghan war friend, Aliaksandr Sakharuk, fears Autukhovich does not receive mail. He said this to Euroradio: “He didn't reply to two latest letters. I sent a registered letter with delivery confirmation. I will wait and see what will happen. We both served in Afghanistan. When I began to wrote him, we found out we know the same towns and even kishlaks. I call him my army friend. I want to do my best to support him, but with no success.”

Activist and prisoner of conscience Zmitser Dashkevich is being threatened with rape and torture in a penal colony in Mazyr, south-west Belarus, where he was transferred after his sentence on 28 August for allegedly violating prison rules entered into force.

Belarusian authorities should immediately end all harassment and intimidation of the political prisoners Ales Bialiatski and Zmitser Dashkevich, Human Rights Watch said today. Belarus should order an immediate investigation of all instances of mistreatment of detainees held on politically motivated charges, which activists say has increased recently, Human Rights Watch said.
