September 30, electoral trainings for the heads of the precinct election commissions of the Lieninski and Kastryčnicki districts of Mahilioŭ were held. The traning that was held at the Kastryčnicki District Executive Committee was attended by the human rights activist Barys Bukhel.

As reported by him, the training took 50 minutes and included role play games, as well as general information about the organization of the elections.

“The present heads of precinct election commissions asked only one question: whether observers could take photos on the territory of the polling stations, and were blankly told that such a right belonged only to accredited journalists,” says Barys Bukhel.
The human rights activist managed to ask the question whether observers would be allowed to observe the passing of the protocols with the results of the voting and the ballots to the territorial election commission, and was answered they would not be allowed to do it, since such a right is not provided for by the law.

“The fact that only one question was asked during the training witnesses that everything is already clear to everyone, since these people has been working in this structure and composition for years already. It suffices to say that one of the schoolmasters stated he had been participating in the organization of elections for 30 years already,” says Mr. Bukhel.

Let us remind that there are no representatives of the political opposition in precinct and territorial election commission in Mahilioŭ.
