As reported by civil society activist Aliaksei Paulouski, this method is used by officials of Karma District Executive Committee, who collect signatures in support of Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

“The women, who sell fruit and vegetables in Karma, told me that in order to receive the permits to sell the foodstuffs they have grown on their plots of land they had to sing for Aliaksandr Lukashenka, as the officials blankly refused to issue such permits otherwise,” said Mr. Paulouski.

The activist says that this is a total lawlessness, and therefore he intends to file appeals to the controlling state agencies. Let us remind that we have already received dozens reports from ordinary citizens about the use of the administrative resource for collecting signatures in support of the nomination of Aliaksandr Lukashenka as a candidate for president.
