One of them presented himself as a policemen, the other was silently present during the conversation.

The story was told by the stepfather of Veranika Charkasava, Uladzimir Mialeshka, Salidarnasts writes.

The man in mufti said that he would like to talk about the son of the murdered journalist, Anton.

- We said there's a limit to everything, and there is a limit to our patience, too, and refused to talk to the visitors, - Uladzimir Mialeshka said.

Mother of Veranika Charkasava, Dyiana, supposes that such an early visit could have been motivated by a desire to play a nasty trick, to catch us off guard.

- What could people, who came to our place at 6.30 a.m., need? The more I think, the more clearly I understand that they want us out of their way, – Dziana Charkasava said. – We, our existence, are simply a hindrance to them, like our daughter was a hindrance to them, as she was a truthful journalist, she had her own view of the events in the country. All today’s action of our doughty law-enforcing agencies against the two sick elderly persons, leading a lonely life, are undignified and senseless in their cruelty.

Journalist Veranika Charkasava died on October 20, 2004. She was found in her own flat with 43 stabbed wounds. The terrible murder remains undisclosed.
