The consideration of Mr. Hladki's appeal against the verdict of Minsk City Court will take place at 10 a.m. on March 13 at Minsk Regional Court.

The plaintiff asks the court to cancel the verdict of Minsk District Court and recognize his right to obtain compensation for the damage inflicted by illegally sentencing himto a prison term under Part 1 st.139 Criminal Code.

Let us remind that in 2003 Mikhail Hladki was sentenced to 8 years in prison for the murder of his brother. In 2012 the verdict was canceled due to absence of corpus delicti in his actions. Eduard Lykau was sentenced to death for several murders, including the murder of Mikhail's brother, for which the latter had been convicted. As a result, Mikhail Hladki appealed to Minsk District Court, demanding a compensation for material and moral damages. However, the court dismissed his appeal and the compensation was not paid.
