On February 23, freelance journalist Tamara Shchapiotkina was summoned to the police station of Biaroza to give explanations on an administrative offense report written on 21 February by police officer Rachynski of the Leninski district police department of Brest. The record says that on 8 January 2015 Ms. Shchapiotkina interviewed road police officer Siarhei Nelipovich (pictured). The interview was posted on the Internet on the website of the Polish radio station Radio Racyja. According to the report, Tamara Shchapiotkina violated the requirements of Part 4 of Art. 35 and 36 of the Law “On Mass Media”, thus committing an offense under Art. 22.9 of the Administrative Code (illegal manufacturing media products).

According to Tamara Shchapiotkina, Captain Nelipovich told a lie. On 8 January, there was no interview with him. There was a small comment, instead, back on 21 November 2014. The report was reposted by the website of Radio Liberty.
