On Monday, 16 February, the Day of Solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners, all concerned citizens are invited to the Minsk-based office of the electronic industry trade union, to sign greeting cards for political prisoner Yauhen Vaskovich.

The young man was sentenced to 7 years in prison on charges of attacking the KGB building in Babruisk. During three years in prison, according to his associates, he has served more than 200 days in solitary confinement. The prisoner has been unable to see his mother for more than a year already and he was only given the opportunity in early February. According to his mother Rushaniya Vaskovich, they finally met, or rather talked through the glass for two hours.
