Those who discriminate independent trade unions are welcome to run in the elections
The names of the candidates for the regional council running in Babruisk have been published. Most of them occupy high positions in organizations and enterprises.
Among them there is director of the Factory of Tractor Parts and Assemblies Aliaksandr Ahranovich, responsible for numerous cases of discrimination of members of the Free Trade Union of Belarus, including their dismissals due to “staff reduction”. They were deprived of the office, benefits and the possibility to train at the sports and recreation complex. The plant also ignores undesirable court verdicts, as it was in the case of the verdict for unblocking the pass of the head of the primary FTUB unit Mikhail Kavalkou and paying him the quarterly wage bonus. As stated by the trade union leader, all these problems started at the FTUB after Aliaksandr Ahranovich became director of the plant.
Among the 26 candidates there are also three members of the Liberal-Democracy Party of Belarus: chief accountant of "BelNovoStroy" and director of "StroyMirTorg" in one person Anastasiya Rusava, manager of the checkpoint of the security service of “BelShyna” Uladzimir Zahryshau, individual entrepreneur Uldadzimir Yauseyenkau (both of whom were candidates at the latest presidential elections), and one member of the Republican Party of Labor And Justice, heater of the "Versado Group" Ltd. Viktar Dzedushkin.
Other candidates are mostly heads of enterprises, managers and chiefs: Chair of the department of ideology, labor, culture and youth affairs of the Mahiliou Regional Executive Committee Anatol Synkavets; aide of the MP Mikalai Plaksitski Valery Lebiadzenka; former member of the city council, head of the meat combine Andrei Isaichanka; Chair of the Babruisk communications department of the Mahiliou branch of “Beltelecom” Aliaksandr Babtsou, acting the first secretary of the Leninski District Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Viachaslau Rudzianok, deputy director on the ideological work of "Belshyna" Aksana Pryzkhodzka, chief doctor of the central hospital of Babruisk Uladzimir Hatsko and others.
Bear in mind that among the contenders for the regional council there were also several representatives of the civil campaign “Tell the Truth” and the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, but none of them were registered as candidates by the election commissions.
