The 164-page hardcover book contains stories the former political prisoner wrote in detention.

“I selected only fiction for the book,. It doesn't contain political essays,” Zmitser Dashkevich told Radio Svaboda. “I don't have any personal emotions about the release. Maybe it's because I had these emotions in prisons and detention facilities from 2006 to 2013.

The only thing I can say is that it's bad that prison literature and political prisoners exist in our country in the 21st century. On the other hand, it is a natural process. Every nation should gain its independence and democracy through ordeals and victims.”

Zmitser Dashkevich says he is working over a documentary book about Young Front, but the “process is not as effective as I'd like”.

Minsk's Pershamaiski district court plans to review a case against Dashkevich on January 30 for alleged violations of the preventive supervision rules.

Zmitser Dashkevich was arrested allegedly for hooliganism ahead of the 2010 presidential elections. He received 2 years in prison.

Dashkevich didn't admit his guilt and said it was a provocation organised by the security services.

In 2012, he received one more year in prison for failure to obey prison officers. Dashkevich was released in August 2013.
