One of the pickets was organized by the chair of the Brest regional branch of the Trade Union of Radio Electronic Industry Zinaida Mikhniuk, and the other – by the human rights activist Uladzimir Vialichkin. At the picket organized by the TUREI, the people spoke about the protection of workers' rights, while participants of the other one demanded freedom for political prisoners, holding posters with portraits of political prisoners and postcards with Ales Bialiatski behind bars.

The picket in support of workers' rights was attended by 22 people and
was not guarded police. However, it was still watched by people in plain clothes. Human Rights rally in support of political prisoners was held under a close supervision of the police. The number of the policemen exceeded the number of the action participants (there were just 8 picketers). The member of the party “Fair World” Liudmila Dzenisenka said she came to the picket to remind the people that there were political prisoners in the country, who should be released from jail. Her husband, Aliaksandr Dzenisenka, agreed with her words. Another picket participant, Yauhen Bialasin, said that people needed freedom.

All participants of the actions expressed their regret that they had to picket in
virtually deserted places.
