The festive event was
held on 3 February by the Baranavichy council of the Belarusian
Language Society and the Polish House. The candidates of historical
sciences Nina Styzhynskaya and Andrei Kishtymau told about the

uprising of 1863 in Belarus. The first head of the Polish house in
Baranavichy, Alzhbeta Dalenha Uzhosek spoke about her vision of

statehood. Anzhela Kambalava dedicated her speech to the image of
Kastus Kalinouski in cinema, literature and art. The poet Ales Bely

A historical quiz, dedicated to the uprising of 1863, was held among the audience by the head of the Baranavichy council of the Belarusian Language Society Viktar Syrytsa. On one hand, it showed the people's interest to Kalinouski, on the other – how much yet remains to be discovered about his life and activities.
