Four activists of the Zmena youth wing of the Tell the Truth campaign have been detained this afternoon in Minsk.

Pavel Vinahradau, Yahor Viniatski, Aliaksandr Artsybashau and Hanna Kurlovich were expected to stage an action outside the Frunzenski supermarket. The police also detained several journalists – Aliaksandr Barazenka, Siarhei Hryts, Vasil Fiadosenka, Pavel Padabed and Tatsiana Ziankevich, as well as the crew of the German ZDF TV channel, who were going to cover the event.

According to witnesses, the police sued violence during the arrest. In particular, press photographer Siarhei Hryts received a blow to his face. As a result, his glasses were broken and he has an eye injury.

All the detainees were taken to the police station and later released without charges.
