Minsk Zavodski District Court has dismissed a complaint by the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) against non-inclusion of its 8 members in the district’s constituency election commissions.
According to human rights defender Hary Pahaniayla, the court ruling referred to alleged violation of appealing period, as the complaint should have been submitted by 10 August. However, Mr. Pahaniayla says that according to the Civil Code and the Code for Civil Procedures, appealing period starts on the day following the decision, and therefore the appeal submitted on 11 August was legal.
