Human rights activist Kasya Halitskaya jailed for 10 days
The sentence has been pronounced by judge Tatstsyana Matyl who is "blacklisted" by the EU.
Halitskaya was detained in the Law Courts on Tuesday. She came there to attend Young Front members' trials. According to the preliminary information, she is accused of swearing.
The trial has
started in Minsk Moscow District Court this morning, on July 18. Tatstsyana
Matyl is the judge .She is "blacklisted"
by the EU. She sentenced Euroradio journalist Pavel Svyardlou to 15 days of imprisonment
on June 22.
