Brest: Uladzimir Vialiachkin continues appealing against picket ban
Human rights defender Uladzimir Vialichkin
applied to the head of the Brest Region Court with the request to issue a
protest against the verdicts on his civil case.
The matter is that the Brest District Court and the Brest Region Court hadn’t
granted his lawsuits against the prohibition of a picket in support of the
imprisoned head of the Human Rights Center “Viasna” Ales Bialiatski.
The human rights defender is convinced that the head of the court will turn his
appeal down as well. After depleting all national remedies he intends to apply
to the UN Human Rights Committee.
