Ihar Trukhanovich, detained and severely beaten on 24
March, during a Saturday concert at “Yo-mayo” club, will be tried for “disorderly
conduct” as some other detainees.
The trial will start at 9 a.m. at the Tsentralny District Court of Minsk and will be lead by Judge Tkachova.
Bear in mind that more than 100 people had been detained during the charitable concert held by the civil initiative “Food Not Bombs”. Female detainees were taken to the Partyzanski District Police Department in Minsk, male detainees – to the Tsentralny District Police Department. Most of them were freed without getting any charges. About 15 detainees were charged with “disorderly conduct” (Article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences) and sentenced to arrest terms or fines.
