A Hrodna-based journalist may be sent to prison after three warning during a period of probation of his suspended sentence.

Andrzej Poczobut was given three years’ suspended sentence with a probation period of two years, Euroradio informs.

He also must appear in police regularly. “I worked hard yesterday. I had to do a lot of things. I ran myself ragged and forgot that my duty to Motherland is to go to the criminal inspection on Monday. When I remembered about it this morning, I understand that I would get a warning. So it happened,” the journalist said.

Poczobut complains the schedule of visits to police is too difficult: every first, second and third Monday of a month. He says it would be easier if he had to appear in police every Monday.
