Raid on former prisoner Kirkevich’s home
Former political prisoner Alyaksandr Kirkevich waits for summoning to the administrative commission of the Leninski district of Hrodna.
He and Young Front activist Veranika Velihor were detained in early hours of September 17. Kirkevich and Velihor are handing around leaflets dedicated to a rally on September 21, Radio Svaboda reports.
Velihor’s laptop was seized. Later, policemen confiscated a system unit of Kirkevich’s computer.
On September 17, Ales Kirkevich and Veranika Velihor were summoned to a police department and warned that a police report for violating of landscaping rules would be sent to the district administrative commission.
Ales Kirkevich was sentenced to 4 years in prison for post-election protests. He was pardoned on September 1.
