Valiantsin Stefanovich set to return to Belarus

Viasna activist Valiantsin Stefanovich says he is going to return to Belarus in a month, despite the fact his bank account details have also been disclosed by the Lithuanian Ministry of Justice, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports, quoting www.delfi.lt.

“I am not going to stay in Lithuania. I will be here in September only to take part in crucial meetings of international organizations in order to raise the issue of Ales Bialiatski on a higher international level”, says Mr. Stefanovich.

Valiantsin Stefanovich says he is aware he can be arrested as soon he enters the country. However, he is not going to apply for political asylum as he has not committed any offences.
