Ales Bialiatski, chair of the Human Rights Center “Viasna” has been officially warned by the General Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus for alleged legislative violations committed by the human rights defender on behalf of “Viasna”.
The warning was issued by Deputy Prosecutor General Mr. Kuklis, who also said Ales Bialiatski might be prosecuted “in case of future abuses”.
During his visit to the General Prosecutor’s Office, Ales Bialiatski refused to provide any explanations on Viasna’s activities.
