Two assaults on activists of the electoral team of candidate Niakliayeu have been registered these days.

The first incident took place in the evening of 11 December near the Brest supermarket in Hrodna. A drunken man came to an electoral picket. At first he started telling the activists that their work vain, as there was no alternative to the incumbent, Aliaksandr Lukashenka. Then he assaulted one of them, Danil Kukleu, and delivered several hard blows. Danil Kukleu defended himself with the assistance of a female participant of the picket. There were no policemen nearby. The picket was disrupted as a result of this assault.

On 12 December a resident of the town of Aziory Kiryl Semianchuk (pictured) started handing out agitation materials of Uladzimir Niakliayeu near the Chance shop. He was approached by two persons in plain clothes, who started threatening him. Eventually, they hit him several times and tore into pieces his electoral cape. The hooligans also used obscene language and tried to grab the leaflets, which the activist didn’t let them do.

The both victims intend to apply to the police in connection with the assaults.
