Spontaneous meeting of dwellers of Uruccha-2 suburb
On 3 December more than
300 dwellers of the Minsk suburb Uruccha-2
held a spontaneous assembly against the construction of multi-stored houses
on the children’s playground.
A proxy of the presidential candidate Vital Rymasheuski took floor at the
action.
Meanwhile, it was not the first time the people expressed their protest against
the construction of the houses, one of which will be inhabited by riot
policemen.
Though they invited representatives of the Presidential Administration and the
Pershamaiski District Executive Committee to their meeting, only a
representative of the executive committee arrived.
The indignant citizens put their signatures under a petition and stated they
wouldn’t allow the building of any houses on the playground.
