A total of 44 precinct election commissions were formed on the territory of the Leninski district of Brest. 506 out of 1,196 nominees were included in them, including 2 out of 8 nominees of the Belarusian Popular Front, 2 out of 7 nominees of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party and 2 out of 7 nominees of the Belarusian Leftist Party Fair World 1 out of 4 nominees of the United Civil Party and 1 representative of the Communist Party of Belarus.

The PECs were committed by the Brest Leninski District Executive Committee at its sitting on 3 November. According to the eyewitnesses, everything was done in a hurry, that’s why many of the present people couldn’t understand who was included in the commissions and who was not. In response to their pretensions the officials advised them to wait for the official publication of the lists of the commission members in the city’s newspapers.
