Ministry of Justice of Belarus has not registered the BCD Party
The Ministry of Justice of Belarus denied the party Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD) in state registration.
“The Ministry of Justice examined the materials concerning the state registration of BCD party and the decision to reject has been taken”, - “Interfax-West” agency was informed in the Ministry of Justice of Belarus.
It was explained there, that the denial in the registration of the BCD party is conditioned by the fact that “the order of the BCD Party formation has been broken and such a violation is of nonrecoverable character”. As it was noted in the Ministry of Justice, “the party submitted documents and information which do not comply with the requirements of the legislation, including forged and expired documents. Besides, the terms of membership in the party do not correspond with the constituent instruments of the party”.
Ad interim the organizing committee on formation of the party Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD) asks the General Prosecutor’s office to bring the Minister of Justice Viktar Halavanau to account. The corresponding application was submitted to the General Prosecutor’s office on October, 26.
The Co-Chairman of the organization committee on formation of BCD Pavel Sieviaryniets informed “Radio Svaboda” about it.
According to his words, the organizing committee is asking the General Prosecutor’s Office to make Halavanau accountable for the violation of the legislation about citizens’ address. Sieviaryniets reminded, that on September, 12 of this year founding congresses of BCD took place in Minsk, and the documents for registration of the party were handed over to the Ministry of Justice on September, 19.
“According to the decision on registration or refusal in registration should have been taken in a month term – till October, 19. And in five more days we were to be informed about this decision”, - Sieviaryniets said.
The decision on the refusal became known only on October, 26.
