Young Front activist fined
Ales Kirkevich, deputy chair of Young Front Hrodna office, has been fined BYR 875,000 for distributing printed materials as part of the City is Ours campaign. He was detained on 3 July and charged under Paragraph 2 of Article 21.14 of the Civil Code.
‘In this country, unfortunately, one cannot be involved in civil society activities, without facing harassment by the authorities. As the phrase goes, each person has an Article,’ says the activist.
