Vitsebsk court acquits For Freedom activist Zheliapau
Vitsebsk Chyhunachny Court acquitted Khrystafor Zheliapau, activist of the For Freedom movement, previously charged with alleged illegal distribution of opposition periodicals, Aliaksandr Milinkevich’s press-service reports.
The civil proceedings were suspended due to lack of crime in the activist’s actions.
On 11 June, Khrystafor Zheliapau was detained while distributing the Novaye Zhytssio newspaper, which was later considered legal.
