Human rights activist Valery Schukin detained in Mahiliou
A human rights activist Valery Schukin has been detained in Mahiliou. He is being kept in Lenin District police office, reports Radio Liberty.
According to a civil activist Hrystsina Shatsikava, Schukin and his assistant whose name has not been announced yet were detained in Lenin Street in Mahiliou at about half past twelve in the afternoon. The reason for the detention is unknown. Khrystsina Shatsikava is not allowed to enter the police office but it has been confirmed that the two activists are going to be interrogated.
